このアルバムの中で最も自由に、自然に歌った曲です。
頭をからっぽにして感性で歌ったら、今の私の歌はこんな感じなんだな、と自分でも確認になりました。
レコーディングも驚くほど早く終わりました。
私が私らしく、歌を歌った１曲です。
I sang this song freely, without thinking.
It made me realize what I sound like when I sang by using my senses, and not my head.
I finished recording surprisingly fast, too.
This is a song I sang, just the way I am.

10.“Colors of the Wind”
「ポカホンタス」という、アメリカ先住民とイギリスの開拓者のお話の中の歌です。
この曲をカバーしたら奇麗だろうな、と思って選曲しました。
製作中、このピアノアレンジを聴いた時は感動しました。
自然と共存する内容の歌詞も素敵で、
“How high will the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you’ll never know”
この木はどこまで高く育つだろう? 切り倒してしまえば分からない
“ You can own the earth and still,
all you’ll own is earth until you can paint with all the colors of the wind”
あなたはこの地を所有する事ができるけれど
風の色で絵を描けないかぎり、所有するものは土地だけ
少し悲しくて印象深い言葉がたくさんあります。
あまり目立つ曲ではないけど、美しい曲です。
This is a song from a movie “Pocahontas”, a story about a native american woman and English settlers.
I selected this song because I thought it would be beautiful,
and I was impressed when I heard the piano arrangements.
The song also has beautiful lyrics.
It’s kind of a quiet song, but I like it very much.
9.”Rainbow Connection”
少し切なくて奇麗なメロディーも、歌詞も、とても好きで
「いつか歌いたい」と思っていた曲です。
大切な曲なので、
今の私が歌える最高の歌を歌いたい、と思いました。
アコースティックギターの音が心地良いです。

I’ve always loved this song and wanted to sing it someday.
Since the song means so much to me, I wanted to sing it perfectly.
I especially like the sound of the acoustic guitar.
